The consumption of PPS fiber in my country is about 5,000~5,500 tons per year, and the global consumption is about 8,000 tons. The consumption of PPS fiber in my country accounts for about 60% of the world, becoming the main user of polyphenylene sulfide.

Therefore, in recent years, polyphenylene sulfide (PPS) fibers have become one of the high-temperature-resistant and corrosion-resistant fiber materials with superior cost performance. First, it has attracted more and more attention from China and other countries in the world.

At present, large pollutant dischargers, such as power plants, cement plants, and waste incineration plants, have switched to the method of "bag dust removal or electrostatic + bag dust removal" in terms of waste gas pollution control, in order to meet the waste gas emission standards stipulated by the state. Under the premise of ensuring the same dust removal efficiency, the cost and operating cost of bag type dust removal are lower than those of electrostatic precipitators. Therefore, bag type dust removal has become a high temperature resistant dust removal method adopted by all countries in the world, and the dust removal of coal-fired boilers in power plants in my country will also be will move closer to developed countries. The fiber material used in bag filter products is mainly PPS, which makes the market share of PPS expand year by year. Zhu Minru, honorary president of the China Industrial Textiles Industry Association, said that this kind of high-tech fiber and filter textiles with high temperature resistance and acid and alkali resistance will be one of the key development directions of the industry in the next few years.
